Fusion Wins Top Awards At 26th Annual Telly Awards
Irving, TX (June 11, 2005) Several video and one CDROM production created by Fusion Productions for NASA have been selected by the 26th Annual Telly Awards as Silver Winners and Bronze Finalists. The Telly Awards, founded in 1978, are considered the premier award honoring outstanding video and film programs (www.tellyawards.com). This year Fusion Productions received four (4) Silver and two (2) Bronze Telly Awards.
The Tellys annually showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. Entries compete with over 10,000 entries from all over the US and many foreign countries Fusion Productions was previously honored in 2001 with a Bronze Telly Award and in 2004 with five Bronze Telly Awards. A Silver Telly Award winning production must score a 9.0 or higher on a 10 point scale while a Bronze Telly Award winner must score between a 7.0 and 8.9. Entries do not compete against each other - rather, they compete against a high standard of merit.
Fusion Productions just completed production on a series of videos for Arlington, TX based Praesidium which will be used across the country by such notable organizations such as the Catholic Church and the YMCA. The company will be producing several projects this summer for NASA requiring location shooting around the country including Kennedy Space Center, FL for the Space Shuttle’s anticipated launch in July.
In addition to production responsibilities, Todd Sims will be promoting the September 9th theatrical release of his first feature film, Echoes of Innocence (www.echoesofinnocence.com) this fall. Sims also continues to serve as president of the Dallas Producers Association (www.dallasproducers.org) for which he was elected president in January.
