Fusion Celebrates Ten Years
The Sims picked the name "Fusion" because of the thoughts it conjures about convergence (perhaps a foreshadow of the digital environment now prevalent). One definition of "Fusion" is the "coming together of diverse elements into a united whole." The founders recognized the numerous diverse elements necessary for video production and the challenge of integrating those elements (cinematography, editing, animation, music, acting, directing, etc.) into a cohesive video production that dynamically communicates a client's message. Thus, "Fusion" seemed appropriate to express the companies commitment to high concept visual artistry.
Fusion Productions is now continuing to establish itself as one of the leading video production companies in Texas. Rapid growth over the last several years in the Dallas area continues, with sales in 2000 already exceeding those of all of 1999. Fusion Productions has set higher goals for customer service and client relations and has undertaken a marketing campaign to open up new market segments to video production in Texas while also continuing its push into the aerospace industry using its extensive production experience with NASA as a catalyst. Fusion will continue to specialize in long form video production for corporate clients and foresees a progression into more entertainment oriented production in the future.
Fusion Lands NOKIA Project
Fusion Productions is currently in pre-production for a project for cellular phone giant NOKIA. The project involves a proprietary wireless communication application to be showcased by one of Nokia's Research and Development groups at this year's International Nokia conference in Finland. The video will highlight a product demonstration and will emphasize the process necessary for rapidly creating a technologically advanced prototype of an original product. Scripting is currently underway with principle photography scheduled for the middle of October.
"Success in Process Control!"
NASA Prime Contractors such as Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton-Sundstrand, Lockheed Martin, Thiokol, and United Space Alliance are using the video to alert personnel of the importance of safety issues and the criticality of process control. Fusion also provided support for the development of related packaging for the video and authored the project to DVD. |
